WE MAKE THREE-DIMENSIONAL BOOKS

WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS/LIBRARIES

This workshop has the aim to make some dummies of three-dimensional books - movable or tactile books – of a text or an "experience" chosen by the teachers of your school to be realized with children.
Considering the fact that the whole school cannot be involved in the project, it's better to choose traditional stories so that the book made in the workshop can be realized in other classes at school without our participation.

FIRST STEP
Choice of a story – invented or traditional – to be illustrated with three-dimensional images. The story (possibly max two pages) has to be sent , by mail or by fax, to "Il libro ha tre dimensioni" before enough time the beginning of the workshop to permit the realization of the dummy.
SECOND STEP
"Il libro ha tre dimensioni" will project four work units and the dummy to be presented to the teachers.

THIRD STEP
The workshop will be developed in meetings of two hours each.
After telling the story and choosing its main sequences, the children will be invited to cut, colour, fold and stick in order to transform a bi-dimensional image in a three-dimensional one. It is very useful the collaboration of teachers or of the library workers to help the children who could have some problems in doing these activities.

The cost for this kind of workshop includes the project of the book and the whole amount of paper necessary for every child involved in the workshop.
The school/library has to arrange the room and supply enough glue, scissors, felt-tip pens (or other kinds of colours) for children.
